Falmouth Road Race Philanthropy
Falmouth Road Race, Inc. Through our Community Giving and Grants, Falmouth Road Race, Inc. proudly supports porgrams throughout our community that promote health and wellness, especially for youth. Each year, we commit to a large project, such as funding a new track at Falmouth High School, while also supporting the many nonprofit organizations that provide services and programming – from Falmouth Together We Can and its support of bereaved youth to the Woods Hole Community Association for restoration of Taft’s Playground to the Falmouth Water Stewards for public water bottle refill stations.
Famouth Road Race, Inc. will review grant requests twice a year. Organizations that fit within our mission statement are invited to submit a proposal. For details, visit https://falmouthroadrace.com/grant-program.
FRR, Inc. Mission Statement:
Falmouth Road Race, Inc. is committed to supporting and promoting local organizations with specific focus on youth athletics and programming that promotes health and wellness. These efforts are realized by consistent community involvement and ongoing philanthropic endeavors including donations, scholarships, grants, and sponsorships. Its annual, internationally recognized 7-mile road race features an iconic seaside course enjoyed by elite and recreational runners since 1973.
Donations to local groups who volunteer during race week:
Each year, we have approximately 40 local groups that volunteer during race week. Whether assembling runner gift bags, folding T-shirts, helping at the Health & Fitness Expo or working a water stop volunteers are instrumental in every area of the Aetna Falmouth Elite Mile, the SBLI Family Fun Run, and of the course the Falmouth Road Race itself. Without them, we would not put on a successful event year after year. To show our appreciation, Falmouth Road Race, Inc. offers these groups a donation for their efforts. To learn more about how to get your group involved in the volunteer program, please email email@example.com.
