Dr. John Jardine
Medical Program Director
Dr. John Jardine has served as Medical Director of the ASICS Falmouth Road Race and Shipwrecked Falmouth in the Fall since 2000. Under his dedicated leadership, a medical team of around 250 volunteers and professionals have treated thousands of medical cases, nearly 500 cases of life-threatening exertional heat stroke, and ensured 25 consecutive safe and fatality-free race days. Dr. Jardine’s multiple decades-long tenure as Medical Director started in the early 2000s. After attending medical school in New York, he completed his residency in Providence, Rhode Island, where he met his wife. The two of them moved to Falmouth, and his career launched from the Emergency Department (ED) at Falmouth Hospital in 2000.
Chris Troyanos
Medical Program Coordinator
Thank you to all the volunteers! Our Medical Committee, led by Dr. John Jardine will be putting together another dedicated team of medical volunteers to ensure a safe experience for all race participants at the 2026 ASICS Falmouth Road Race.
Medical volunteer opportunities include a wide variety of assignments. You don’t have to be a licensed medical care provider to be a part of our medical team. In addition to doctors, nurses, athletic trainers, physical therapists, and EMTs, we need help with runner/patient tracking, medical records, and medical security.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out via my email or cell phone. We are looking forward to a great event and working with all of you this summer.
Sincerely,
Chris
