Scholarships for Graduating High School Seniors

Falmouth Road Race, Inc. has established a Scholarship Program for graduating high school students who reside in Falmouth or Mashpee year-round. Graduating seniors who will be attending college, trade school or joining the military are eligible for a scholarships.

2025 marks the fourteenth year that FRR, Inc. will award scholarships to graduating seniors. 48 scholarships were awarded in 2024, totaling over $100,000. Many of these recipients have volunteered with the race for years.

These scholarship awards represent just some of the $5+ million the organization has given back to the community since 2012.

When will students receive their scholarship funds?

Recipients are awarded the first half of their scholarship at the end of their senior year of high school.

2024 Scholarship recipients will be awarded the remainder of the scholarship funds in full after submitting a transcript showing successful completion of the fall 2024 semester and a copy of a spring 2025 tuition bill showing continued enrollment. Both documents to be submitted to the address below or by email at info@falmouthroadrace.com.

Important note: It is the student’s responsibility to initiate this process and the deadline for submitting supporting paperwork to receive the remainder of the scholarship funds is March 1st.

Attention students: Your scholarship money will be sent directly to you at the address on your application unless otherwise indicated at the time you submit your transcript and tuition bill.

In 2020, the Cochary Gross Family, in lieu of sponsoring the annual Tommy Cochary High School Mile race, opted to share their gift to support our annual scholarship program.

“Although we are disappointed in having to delay the 10th running of the Tommy Cochary High School Mile, we continue our mission to support students by increasing our contribution to Falmouth Road Race, Inc. for its scholarship awards.

We know that the pandemic is putting extraordinary financial pressure on families and we don’t want this to limit the ability of Falmouth High School students to go to college. Our motto has been and will continue to be, ‘Make Smart Choices’ while transitioning into the next phase of your lives.

We look forward to making the celebration of the 10th annual Tommy Cochary High School Mile in the summer of 2021 even more inspiring.”
