Guidelines for grant submissions:
Falmouth Road Race, Inc. typically reviews grant requests twice a year. These requests will come from local 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations that fit within our philanthropic goals (please refer to our mission statement below.) Grants requests should be a maximum of two pages of narrative that includes:
- Organization name, contact person, email address, mailing address and phone number.
- Amount requested (there is no limit to what you can request at this time.)
- The requestor’s timeline.
- Details on what, specifically, the donation will be used for and how it will better your organization or the community.
- Please note: grant requests should NOT be for staffing or salaried positions; requests should be for tangible items (i.e., equipment, fixtures, supplies, signage, etc.)
- All Falmouth Public School submissions should be submitted directly to the Superintendent’s office. For all other school-related requests- please include a letter of support from school administrator (i.e., athletic director, principal, superintendent).
- Booster organizations, PTO requests, enrichment organizations, etc. who have independent 501(c)3 designation should submit their request directly to FRR, Inc. Requests should have a letter of support from school administration (i.e., athletic director, principal, superintendent).
Please include any relevant collateral material such as:
- Budget
- Detailed equipment list showing cost of each item
- Letter issued by the IRS showing designation of 501(c)3 status
In a typical year, grant deadlines are June 1st and December 1st.

Falmouth Road Race, Inc. is committed to supporting and promoting local organizations with specific focus on youth athletics and programming that promotes health and wellness. These efforts are realized by consistent community involvement and ongoing philanthropic endeavors including donations, scholarships, grants, and sponsorships. Its annual, internationally recognized 7-mile road race features an iconic seaside course enjoyed by elite and recreational runners since 1973.
