Job Title: Marketing and Creative Support Intern
Location: Falmouth Road Race, Inc. offices, 155 Katharine Lee Bates Road, Falmouth, MA
Reports To: Creative Director
Duration: Internship – Race Season (approximately May – September)
The Falmouth Road Race is a globally recognized running event dedicated to promoting health, wellness, and community engagement. Since 1973, we have brought together athletes, volunteers, and supporters to celebrate the spirit of running while making a meaningful impact through our charitable initiatives, including our Numbers for Nonprofits program. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing engaging content for social media, email campaigns, and promotional materials.
- Brainstorm and execute creative marketing campaigns to enhance brand awareness and engagement.
- Design graphics, videos, and other visual assets for digital and print marketing efforts.
- Support in writing blog posts, website copy, and press materials.
- Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and audience insights to inform creative strategies.
- Help manage social media accounts, schedule posts, and analyze performance metrics.
- Assist in photography and videography for events, campaigns, and sponsor activations.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop innovative ideas for brand storytelling.
- Support the organization and execution of marketing activations during race week and other events.
- Assist with influencer outreach, partnerships, and community engagement initiatives.
- Must be available to attend all race week events.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Media, or a related field.
- Strong creative skills with an eye for design, branding, and storytelling.
- Experience with graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Familiarity with video editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar) is a plus.
- Excellent writing and communication skills for content creation and brand messaging.
- Knowledge of social media platforms and trends, with an interest in digital marketing.
- Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to take creative direction while also bringing fresh ideas.
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Proficient in Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) including Gmail, Google Drive, Sheets, Slides, Calendar, and Meet; familiarity with Canva, CRM systems or project management tools a plus.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic photography and videography skills are a plus.
