These athletes will be racing in the 7-mile Falmouth Road Race, and the Wheelchair Mile at the Falmouth Track Festival.

Men’s Bios

Daniel Romanchuk

Champaign, IL

Daniel Romanchuk, 27 years old, is a world-class American Paralympic wheelchair racer and one of the most accomplished athletes on the road circuit.

He burst onto the elite scene with victories at major marathons, including Chicago (October 2018), New York City (2018, 2019, and again in November 2024), Boston (April  2019), and London (April  2019)—becoming the first American man to win Boston’s wheelchair division in over two decades. At the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics, he earned gold in the 400 m T54 and bronze in the marathon.

At the Falmouth Road Race, Romanchuk is a five-time men’s wheelchair champion, and he first raced here in 2013 at 15 years old. He currently holds the Falmouth wheelchair course record of 21:23, set in 2023

Hermin Garic

Utica, NY

Hermin Garic, 34 years old is a U.S. wheelchair racing standout and 2021 Falmouth Road Race Men’s Wheelchair Champion. Hailing from Utica, NY, he has consistently finished on the podium in recent editions, including a 2nd‑place finish in 2022 and the 3rd in 2023, with a best time of 25:11 in 2023. A multi‑time BAA 10K champion and course record‑holder at the Cooper River Bridge Run, he’s known not only for his performance but also for fostering community and awareness of adaptive sports. In 2025, Garic returns as a proven competitor and respected leader in the field.

Miguel Jimenez Vergara

Chula Vista, CA

Miguel Jimenez‑Vergara, 25 years old, of Chula Vista, CA, is the defending Falmouth Road Race men’s wheelchair champion, having taken the title in 2024 with a time of 26:01. He also posted a dominant win in the Boilermaker 15K on July 13, 2025 (34:50). With established wins at the Broad Street Run and Kessler 10K, plus consistent upward momentum over the past three years at Falmouth, he stands out as a focused and formidable challenger in 2025.

Krige Schabort

Rome, GA

Krige Schabort, 61, of Rome, GA, is a revered figure in American wheelchair racing. A former South African corporal turned six‑time Paralympian and Ironman finisher, he claimed the Falmouth Road Race men’s wheelchair division title five times between 2008 and 2012. In 2024, he returned to Falmouth to earn 2nd place with a time of 26:10, following recent finishes of 4th in 2022 and 5th in 2023. Off the course, Krige co-founded the Rome Clocktower Classic Handcycle Races and directs the Wheelchair Athlete Training Camp in Georgia, empowering a new generation of athletes. In 2025, he enters Falmouth not only as a storied competitor but also as a dedicated mentor and trailblazer in the sport.

Delmace Mayo

Jamaica Plain, MA

Delmace Mayo, 19, hailing from Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, is a rising star in U.S. wheelchair racing. At just 19, he debuted at the 2025 Boston Marathon (2:04:30) and previously secured a silver medal in the 5,000 m at the 2023 WorldAbility Sport Games. Mayo also made history as the first wheelchair athlete to win the New Balance Indoor Nationals Mile in 2024. A multi-sport talent who excels in adaptive track, WCMX, sled hockey, basketball, and more, Mayo approaches the 2025 Falmouth race as an exciting young prospect poised for breakout performances.

Tony Noguiera

Glen Ridge, NJ

Tony Nogueira, 57, of Glen Ridge, NJ, is a veteran wheelchair racer, longtime mentor, and high school art teacher with more than 30 years of experience in adaptive athletics. A former champion of the Falmouth Road Race (2002, 2016), he returned in 2024 to finish 6th, continuing a long history of excellence on Cape Cod. Known not just for his racing success but also for his commitment to mentoring new athletes, Tony regularly volunteers at clinics and training camps, helping grow the next generation of racers. In 2025, he returns to Falmouth as both a competitor and a leader in the sport.

Valera Jacob Allen

Tucson, AZ

Valera Jacob Allen, 24, a Ukrainian-born wheelchair racer with the University of Arizona, placed 4th in his debut at the 2024 Falmouth Road Race men’s wheelchair division, establishing himself as a rising force. Born with spina bifida and moving to the U.S. as a teenager, he took up the sport in 2017 and has excelled on both collegiate and para-athletics stages. Known for his speed on the track and composure racing tactics, Valera is a compelling presence as he returns to Cape Cod in 2025—ready to build on a breakthrough debut and continue his inspiring competitive journey.

Harry Houng-Lee

Australia

Harry Houng‑Lee, 12, a talented junior wheelchair racer from New York City, captured national attention in 2024 with eight gold medals at the Move United Junior Nationals (100 m through 1500 m) at age 11. Racing through the Rising NYRR Wheelchair Training Program, he continues to improve, posting a winning time of 23:37 in a major youth division race. As he steps up to the 2025 Falmouth Road Race, Harry brings youth, speed, and ambition to the men’s wheelchair division—marks that suggest he may become one to watch in the future of U.S. adaptive sports.

Colton Robinson

West Springfield, MA

Colton Robinson is a trailblazing young athlete and model from Massachusetts, making his debut in the wheelchair division at the 2025 ASICS Falmouth Road Race. Born with spina bifida, Colton has used a wheelchair since he was two years old. He has become a prominent figure in both adaptive sports and fashion. At just 8 years old, Colton made his runway debut at New York Fashion Week and has since modeled for renowned brands like Tommy Hilfiger and appeared in a viral Target ad. In addition to his modeling career, Colton is an avid wheelchair basketball player and has recently ventured into wheelchair racing. His participation in the Falmouth Road Race marks his first official road race, highlighting his dedication to expanding his athletic horizons.

Jeyna Senbeta

Chicago, IL

Jeyna Senbeta (formerly James Senbeta) is one of the most accomplished wheelchair racers in the United States and a veteran competitor at the Falmouth Road Race. A former course record-holder, Senbeta set the men’s wheelchair record in 2014 with a time of 23:32, cementing his legacy on the iconic 7-mile course. He has also enjoyed success on the national and international stage, winning the 2016 Grandma’s Marathon in 1:27:10 and collecting victories at the Los Angeles, Carlsbad, Charleston, and Spokane races that same year, along with top-five finishes in Boston and London. Senbeta represented Team USA at the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio, competing in the T54 class in the 800m, 5000m, and marathon. More recently, he set the wheelchair course record at the 2024 TD Beach to Beacon 10K in Maine with a time of 24:40. Originally from Philadelphia, Senbeta took up wheelchair racing after being diagnosed with transverse myelitis at age 18 and went on to train at the University of Illinois, a hub for elite wheelchair athletics.

Josh Cassidy

Canada

Josh Cassidy, of Port Elgin, Ontario, is one of Canada’s most decorated wheelchair racers. A former champion of the Boston, London, and Chicago Marathons, he brings global experience back to the 2025 ASICS Falmouth Road Race, having first raced the 7-mile Cape Cod course in 2017. In 2024, Cassidy won the Boilermaker 15K (34:05) and defended his title at the Sydney Marathon, confirming his status as a consistent international force. A three-time Paralympian with more than 30 national titles, Cassidy is expected to be a strong contender in this year’s field.

Women’s Bios

Tatyana McFadden

Dagsboro, DE

Tatyana McFadden is one of the most decorated wheelchair athletes in history and a global leader in the movement for disability inclusion in sport. A 22-time Paralympic medalist, has 20+ major marathon titles, including multiple victories at Boston, London, Chicago, and New York, the first athlete ever to win the Grand Slam of marathons in a single year (Boston, London, Chicago, and NYC in 2013 and again in 2015), she returns to the 2025 ASICS Falmouth Road Race with elite form and a personal connection—her grandparents met in Falmouth and her family lives in Falmouth, and the race remains close to her heart. McFadden remains a top contender, finishing 5th at the 2025 Boston Marathon and 1st at the Boston 10K. Off the course, she was at the center of a landmark legal case in high school that led to legislation requiring equal access to interscholastic sports for students with disabilities (Maryland, 2006), now echoed in national policies, is the co-founder of the Tatyana McFadden Foundation, which works to expand access to sports and mobility equipment for kids with disabilities globally, and helped direct the Netflix documentary “Rising Phoenix,” which highlights the Paralympic movement and athletes’ stories.

Yen Hoang

Champaign, IL

Yen Hoang is a distinguished American wheelchair racer from Champaign, Illinois, known for her resilience and competitive spirit. A 2021 Paralympian, Hoang has consistently demonstrated excellence in both marathon and mid-distance events. Hoang secured 3rd place in the TCS Sydney Wheelchair Marathon with a time of 2:11:34, marking a strong international performance. Hoang is a seasoned competitor at the ASICS Falmouth Road Race, having participated in multiple editions. In 2024, she finished 2nd in the wheelchair division with a time of 30:10. Maddie Wilson, a 15-year-old wheelchair racer from Auburn, Massachusetts, is set to compete in her ninth ASICS Falmouth Road Race this August. Having participated in over 30 10K races and 70 5K races, she has medaled in wheelchair track events ranging from 100m to 3000m. At the 2024 Falmouth Road Race, Maddie finished 4th in the wheelchair division with a time of 42:09. In recognition of her exceptional achievements, Maddie was honored with the Sports ‘N Spokes Junior Athlete of the Year award, a prestigious accolade celebrating dedication and excellence in adaptive sports. Beyond her athletic prowess, Maddie is an advocate for adaptive sports, inspiring others with her determination and passion. As she approaches her ninth Falmouth appearance, she continues to be a formidable presence in the wheelchair racing community.

Hannah Babalola

Chicago, IL

Hannah Babalola is a Nigerian Paralympian and accomplished wheelchair racer, celebrated for her resilience and competitive spirit. She represented Nigeria at the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games, competing in the women’s 100m and 800m T54 events, and again at the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games in the 100m and 400m T54 events. Babalola has secured victories at the 2023 Cooper River Bridge Run and the 2022 Twin Cities Marathon, further solidifying her status in the wheelchair racing community. She clinched the women’s wheelchair title at the 2024 TD Beach to Beacon 10K in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, with a time of 29:43, edging out competitors like Hoda Elshorbagy and Yen Hoang. Hoda Elshorbagy

Urbana, IL

Hoda Elshorbagy is an Egyptian wheelchair racer who made history in 2024 by becoming the first Egyptian athlete to win any division of the ASICS Falmouth Road Race. She dominated the women’s wheelchair division, establishing an early lead and finishing with a time of 29:20, nearly 50 seconds ahead of her closest competitor. In addition to her Falmouth victory, Elshorbagy secured second place in the women’s wheelchair race at the 2024 TD Beach to Beacon 10K, clocking in at 29:43 . Elshorbagy’s journey into wheelchair racing began in 2016 after watching the Paralympic Games on television. Inspired by athletes like Tatyana McFadden, she pursued the sport despite limited resources in her rural Egyptian village. She taught herself training techniques through online videos and English language courses, eventually traveling to the United States to train with the University of Illinois wheelchair racing team. As she prepares for the upcoming 2025 Falmouth Road Race, Elshorbagy remains a trailblazer in adaptive sports, inspiring others with her determination and achievements.

Chelsea Stein

Spring, TX

Chelsea Stein is a rising star in wheelchair racing and a first-time entrant in the 2025 ASICS Falmouth Road Race. A senior at the University of Arizona, Stein has quickly ascended the ranks in the T53 classification. In May 2025, she clocked a personal best of 1:02.63 in the 400m at the Desert Heat Classic . Earlier in the year, she earned a bronze medal in the 100m at the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon . Stein also represented Team USA at the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games, competing in the 100m, 400m, and 800m T53 events . At the 2023 Parapan American Games in Santiago, Chile, she secured a silver medal in the 100m T53 and set personal bests in the 400m, 800m, and 1500m . This summer marks her debut at Falmouth, where she will join a competitive field in the wheelchair division. With her impressive track record, Stein is poised to make a strong impression in her first appearance in Falmouth.

Linda Williamson

Boerne, TX

Linden Williamson is a 23-year-old wheelchair racer from Boerne, Texas, making her debut at the 2025 ASICS Falmouth Road Race. A rising star in the sport, she has quickly established herself as a formidable competitor on the international stage. In June 2025, she set a personal record of 1:49:29, finishing as the runner-up in the wheelchair division at Grandma’s Marathon in Duluth, Minnesota . Earlier in the year, she secured a top-three finish at the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon Wheelchair Invitational, placing third behind Michelle Wheeler and Noemi Alphonse . Williamson also clinched victory in the Women’s Open category at the Cedartown Wheelchair 5K in Georgia, recording a time of 12:58. In addition to her athletic pursuits, she is a neuroscience researcher at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, balancing her academic and athletic commitments with a focus on resilience and recovery in young people . Williamson’s impressive performances and dedication to both sport and science make her a noteworthy athlete to watch in the upcoming Falmouth Road Race.

Jenna Fesemyer

Champaign, IL

A 2020 Tokyo Paralympian, Jenna is returning to compete in Falmouth this year. Jenna has won the gold in the 2019 Parapan American Games in the 800m, as well as reaching the podium at the Chicago Marathon in 2021, winning third place. In 2023, she claimed victory at the Boilermaker 15k, Grandma’s Marathon, and Kessler 10k.

Katrina Lambeth

Natick, MA

A multiple time top finisher in the ASICS Falmouth Road Race, Katrina Lambeth returns again this year to compete in the wheelchair division. Katrina was a member of the US Paralympic Track and Field Team, and she won first place at the 2019 LA Marathon.

Emelia (Emi) Perry

Colorado Springs, CO

2021 ASICS Falmouth Road Race and 2023 Broad Street Run champion Emi Perry returns to compete in Falmouth this year. Emi recently relocated to Colorado Springs to train at the US Olympic & Paralympic Training Center for the Paratriathlon. Emi has competed in multiple World Triathlon Championship Series races in Yokohama, Japan, Montreal, Canada, and Long Beach, California.

Susannah Scaroni

Champaign, IL

2022 ASICS Falmouth Road Race champion and course record holder Susannah Scaroni returns to defend her title this year. Scaroni has dominated the road circuit in 2023 winning the Boston Marathon, New York Mini 10K and AJC Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta. She recently broke the world record for the 10k at the BAA 10k in June 2022. Susannah is a 3 time Paralympian and won the gold medal in the 5,000m in the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games, in addition to the bronze medal in the 800m.
