Job Title: Sponsorship & Expo Support Intern
Location: Falmouth Road Race, Inc. offices, 155 Katharine Lee Bates Road, Falmouth, MA
Reports To: Sponsorship Manager/Coordinator
Duration: Internship – Race Season (approximately May – September)
The Falmouth Road Race is a globally recognized running event dedicated to promoting health, wellness, and community engagement. Since 1973, we have brought together athletes, volunteers, and supporters to celebrate the spirit of running while making a meaningful impact through our charitable initiatives, including our Numbers for Nonprofits program. Committed to excellence, inclusivity, and philanthropy, we strive to create a premier race experience while supporting our community year-round. As a member of our team, you will contribute to our mission and help uphold the legacy of this iconic event.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the research and identification of potential sponsors for upcoming events and initiatives.
- Support the sponsorship team in preparing sponsorship packages and proposals.
- Help track and manage sponsor agreements, contracts, and deliverables.
- Coordinate logistics for sponsor activation at events, ensuring smooth implementation of sponsor activities.
- Monitor and report on the fulfillment of sponsorship agreements and benefits.
- Support in the development of sponsorship marketing materials, including presentations, emails, and social media posts.
- Assist in organizing sponsor-related meetings and communication.
- Maintain accurate records of sponsor interactions, agreements, and event participation.
- Support on race week and weekend with sponsors as needed
- Help with post-event follow-up and feedback collection from sponsors.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Strong interest in event management, sponsorships, or marketing.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) including Gmail, Google Drive, Sheets, Slides, Calendar, and Meet; familiarity with Canva, CRM systems or project management tools a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be available to attend all race week events.
